Profile Summary
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Astronomy/Cosmos Tutor to conduct engaging astronomy and space science workshops for school students across Delhi NCR. The role involves delivering interactive learning sessions, operating telescopes during celestial observation activities, and inspiring young minds through practical, curiosity-driven education. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a deep interest in space science, and the ability to simplify scientific concepts for students of different age groups. Freshers with a science background and a passion for STEM education are highly encouraged to apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive astronomy and space science sessions for students.
- Deliver engaging workshops on topics related to planets, stars, galaxies, space exploration, and scientific discoveries.
- Simplify scientific concepts for different age groups through practical and activity-based learning.
- Encourage curiosity, questioning, and scientific thinking among students.
- Plan, organize, and execute astronomy workshops in schools and institutions.
- Coordinate with school authorities and academic teams for smooth workshop scheduling and execution.
- Manage workshop materials, presentations, and scientific equipment.
- Ensure proper setup and handling of telescopes and demonstration tools during sessions.
- Operate telescopes and astronomy-related tools during practical demonstrations.
- Guide students in observing celestial objects and understanding observational astronomy.
- Maintain and safely handle scientific equipment used during programs.
- Assist in night sky observation activities and special astronomy events.
- Develop engaging presentations, worksheets, quizzes, and learning modules.
- Support the enhancement of workshop formats and learning methodologies.
- Stay updated with current developments in astronomy and space science.
- Build an enthusiastic and interactive learning environment.
- Motivate students to participate actively in discussions and activities.
- Foster scientific dialogue with children, teachers, and educators.
- Inspire interest in STEM education and space sciences.
Required Skills:
Education: Any Science Based Graduation or Post Graduation ( Physics / Astrophysics Preferred)
Experience: Complete Fresher
- Strong interest and knowledge in Astronomy and Space Science.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and teach students of different age groups.
- Experience in conducting workshops, training sessions, or educational programs is preferred.
- Creative, energetic, and passionate about science education.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and general Space Science concepts
- Experience in conducting educational workshops or teaching, especially in a classroom or training environment
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences, particularly school students
- Proficiency in the use of telescopes, astronomical tools, and basic computer applications
- Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and manage on-site sessions
- Passion for science education, nurturing scientific temper, and inspiring young minds
- Relevant qualifications in Science, Astronomy, Education, or related fields (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's Degree)
- Experience with curriculum development or prior work in a related field is an advantage
