About the role

Job Summary:

The Lead Remote LTM Tech will be responsible for over-monitoring live EEGs, reviewing CortiCare logs, and pattern review as needed. The lead tech will be the first line of contact for on-shift tech or coordinator questions and/or concerns. In addition to over-monitoring, the remote lead tech will assist with QA, training, mentoring, and troubleshooting.

 

Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 10pm - 8am EST

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee techs during the shift, approximately 20 per shift
  • Over-monitoring and communicating with CC tech while on shift - pattern review / feedback and intervention at appropriate intervals as needed
  • Communicate with Sr. Managers on a routine basis, escalate issues and disciplinary needs as appropriate
  • Mentor new hires. Be available for questions and troubleshooting during over-monitoring shifts
  • First-tier escalation for tech and coordinator troubleshooting issues and/or concerns
  • Perform QA on scheduled shifts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  •       Must be skilled in:

o   Pattern recognition to provide clinical descriptive information to neurologists

o   Demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal adult, pediatric, and neonatal EEG patterns.

  •       Proficient in ACNS terminology
  •       Competence in deciphering artifacts from cortical activity.
  •       Proficient in operating/troubleshooting multiple EEG instruments and software.
  •       Ability to work from home - independently - without distraction in a HIPAA-controlled environment.
  •       Excellent computer skills and comfortable with technology.
  •       Professional demeanor, able to interact well with CortiCare staff, hospital staff, and neurologists
  •      Reliable high-speed internet and cell phone coverage are required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Must hold current ABRET registration in Electroencephalography (R. EEGT), CLTM preferred
  • Phase II experience, preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of remote monitoring experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of Nihon Kohden, Cadwell, and Xltek EEG equipment

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands, and fingers
