Role Description
This role involves researching and writing news stories, features, and analytical articles focused on logistics, supply chain, and related industry events and trends. The Correspondent News Writer will attend conferences, briefings, and industry gatherings to report on key developments, conduct interviews with professionals and decision-makers, and produce timely, accurate coverage.
Day-to-day tasks include drafting and revising news pieces, preparing press releases, collaborating with editors and the marketing team, and ensuring all content aligns with the company’s editorial standards and brand voice.
The role also includes monitoring industry news, identifying story opportunities, and contributing to digital and print content that supports the company’s platforms.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in News Writing and Journalism, with experience reporting on business, trade, or industry-specific topics.
- Proficiency in Writing and Communication, including the ability to produce clear, engaging, and accurate content under deadlines.
- Experience drafting Press Releases and other media communication materials for events, organizations, or campaigns.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
- Ability to conduct interviews, perform independent research, and verify information from multiple sources.
- Comfort working on-site in Navi Mumbai and attending events, meetings, and industry gatherings as required.
- Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and familiarity with basic content editing and proofreading practices.
- Knowledge or interest in logistics, supply chain, or global trade sectors is a strong advantage.
