Role
We are looking for curious, analytical, and detail-oriented researchers who enjoy uncovering insights from publicly available information and qualitative sources. If you are passionate about understanding companies, industries, markets, leadership teams, legal structures, and business ecosystems through in-depth research, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and intellectually stimulating projects.
This position is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in Commerce, Economics, Business, Law, Public Policy, International Relations, Social Sciences, or similar disciplines who enjoy desk-based research, critical thinking, and storytelling through insights.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct comprehensive secondary research using public sources, company disclosures, industry publications, legal databases, regulatory filings, media sources, and other credible resources.
· Perform qualitative research and analyse information to identify patterns, trends, business relationships, corporate structures, leadership networks, and industry dynamics.
· Research companies, market sectors, executives, regulatory environments, and industry developments across geographies.
· Verify, validate, and triangulate information to ensure research accuracy and reliability.
· Synthesise large volumes of information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
· Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, profiles, and research summaries for clients and internal stakeholders.
· Continuously explore new research methodologies, tools, and information sources to improve research outcomes.
· Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver research assignments within defined timelines.
Qualification:
· Strong aptitude for investigative research, analytical thinking and problem-solving.
· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
· Ability to connect information from multiple sources and derive meaningful insights.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Comfortable working with extensive reading, documentation review, and information synthesis.
· Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within teams.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Preferred Postgraduate or Graduate degree in: Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Law (LLB/LLM), Public Policy, International Relations, Social Sciences or related disciplines.
· 1–3 years of experience in secondary research, business research, qualitative research, legal research, policy research, corporate intelligence, due diligence, or knowledge services.
Important Note
This role is focused primarily on secondary research, qualitative analysis, business intelligence, legal and corporate research, and insight generation. It is not a data science, financial modelling, statistical analysis, quantitative research, investment research, accounting, or pure data analytics role. Candidates seeking careers focused primarily on predictive modelling, coding, advanced statistics, financial analysis, valuation, or quantitative research may find this role less aligned with their career interests.
