The Opportunity
As the Corporate Legal Advisor, you will be the trusted legal partner to the CEO and leadership team across all Aliens businesses. Your role extends far beyond reviewing contracts—you will shape legal strategy, strengthen governance, protect the organisation from legal risk, and build scalable legal frameworks that support long-term growth.
You will work across commercial contracts, employment law, intellectual property, franchising, real estate, compliance, litigation support, and corporate governance. You will also collaborate with external legal counsel, government authorities, landlords, vendors, franchise partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure every business decision is legally sound and commercially practical.
This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems proactively, and building legal systems that enable rather than restrict business growth.
The Mandate
Your responsibility is to safeguard the organisation while enabling it to grow with confidence.
You will be expected to identify legal risks before they become business problems, ensure every agreement and policy protects the company's interests, and provide commercially practical legal advice that supports decision-making across Aliens Art Pvt. Ltd., Aliens School, and Aliens Home LLP.
Beyond legal drafting and compliance, you will build governance frameworks, strengthen internal policies, protect our intellectual property, oversee legal documentation, coordinate with external law firms, and represent the organisation in matters involving regulatory authorities, police departments, landlords, franchise partners, and courts when required.
You are expected to think like an owner, balancing legal protection with business objectives, while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and proactive risk management. Success in this role means creating legal systems that allow the business to move faster, operate safely, and scale sustainably without compromising ethics or compliance.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Corporate Legal Advisor, you will serve as the central legal function for the organisation, providing timely legal guidance across all business operations and strategic initiatives. You will draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal documents including vendor agreements, franchise agreements, commercial contracts, employment agreements, lease and rental agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and service contracts while ensuring the company's legal and commercial interests remain protected.
You will review all legal documents before they are presented to the CEO for approval, verify insurance policies and contractual clauses, develop and maintain company policies including POSH and HR policies, and establish legal templates, trackers, and governance systems that improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with external legal counsel, coordinate litigation, assist in police complaints and court proceedings where required, and ensure that legal matters are managed proactively and professionally.
In addition, you will protect the Aliens brand by monitoring intellectual property, trademarks, copyrights, social media misuse, and defamatory content, initiating appropriate legal action whenever necessary. You will collaborate with teams across HR, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Business Development, helping them navigate legal complexities with confidence while ensuring the organisation remains fully compliant with applicable laws governing employment, retail, hospitality, franchising, housing, taxation, consumer protection, and corporate governance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a commercially minded legal professional who combines strong legal expertise with practical business judgment. You should be someone who naturally identifies risks before they become problems, communicates complex legal concepts in a simple and actionable manner, and enjoys working closely with business leaders to enable growth rather than restrict it.
You have extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on employment and corporate law, managing litigation, reviewing policies, and coordinating with external legal firms and government authorities. You are comfortable handling police matters, supporting court proceedings, interpreting insurance policies, reviewing statutory requirements, and protecting intellectual property. You thrive in dynamic environments, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professional integrity.
