Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in the Greater Bengaluru Area for a Corporate Lawyer. The Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, managing corporate transactions, providing legal insights on strategic decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting the organization in mitigating legal risks. You will be collaborating with internal teams and external legal counsel to address any legal concerns and oversee documentation relating to institutional and commercial agreements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Corporate Law, Contract Law, and Regulatory Compliance
- Experience with legal drafting, review of contracts, and agreement negotiation
- Knowledge of governance practices, institutional regulations, and dispute resolution
- Strong communication and advisory skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to analyze and mitigate legal risks in a dynamic and heritage-centric institutional framework
- Familiarity with property laws, intellectual property rights, and commercial transactions is beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) with bar admission; Master of Laws (LLM) or equivalent is advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in corporate law, ideally in multi-functional or multi-vertical organizations
