Job Description – In-House Lawyer (Company Compliance Handling)

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and proactive In-House Lawyer to manage all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for Flicka Cosmetics Pvt Ltd. The candidate will ensure the company operates within applicable laws, manage contracts, handle corporate filings, and support management in minimizing legal risks while ensuring smooth business operations. In-house counsel roles commonly cover contracts, compliance, governance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Legal & Corporate Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to cosmetics, manufacturing, marketing, employment, and business operations.
Handle company secretarial and statutory compliance matters in coordination with consultants.
Manage legal documentation, licenses, registrations, renewals, and approvals.
Maintain records of legal notices, agreements, and compliance trackers.
Regulatory Compliance (Cosmetics Industry)
Ensure product compliance with relevant standards, labeling requirements, packaging norms, advertising claims, and consumer laws.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities for approvals, inspections, or notices.
Review product claims, marketing campaigns, influencer collaborations, and promotional material from a legal perspective.
Contracts & Agreements
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements such as:
Vendor Agreements
Distributor / Dealer Agreements
Employment Contracts
Lease Agreements
NDA / Confidentiality Agreements
Influencer / Agency Contracts
Protect company interests while minimizing legal exposure. Contract review is a core in-house counsel responsibility.
Litigation & Dispute Management
Handle legal notices, consumer complaints, disputes, recovery matters, and litigation coordination.
Liaise with external advocates and consultants whenever required.
Represent company interests before authorities where applicable.
Internal Advisory
Advise management and departments on legal risks and practical solutions.
Support HR on employee disciplinary matters, policies, terminations, and labor compliance.
Train internal teams on compliance standards and risk prevention.
Desired Candidate Profile
LLB / LLM from recognized university.
4+ years experience in corporate legal / in-house counsel role.
Experience in FMCG / Cosmetics / Manufacturing preferred.
Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws, contracts, labor laws, GST basics, consumer law, and compliance procedures.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage confidential matters.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Drugs & Cosmetics related regulations.
Experience handling trademarks / IP matters.
Practical business mindset with problem-solving approach.
Strong coordination with multiple departments.
