About the Role - We are looking for a qualified and proactive Corporate Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing legal matters, ensuring compliance, and safeguarding the organization’s interests across all business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review, draft, and vet all contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
2. Provide legal advice on business operations, partnerships, and strategic decisions
3. Handle and manage any legal disputes, claims, or litigation matters that may arise
4. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards
5. Coordinate with external legal counsel when required
6. Develop and maintain standard legal templates and documentation
7. Identify potential legal risks and propose preventive measures
8. Support internal teams (HR, Sales, Finance, etc.) with legal guidance on day-to-day matters
Requirements -
- Expertise in contract law, including drafting, reviewing, vetting and negotiating contracts.
- Proficiency in legal research, writing motions and preparing for depositions.
- Familiarity with court processes, proceedings and legal documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple tasks effectively under deadlines.
- L.L.B or equivalent degree with relevant bar admission is required.
- Exposure to international trade and cross-border transaction is a plus.
- Prior experience in a corporate legal or litigation role is an advantage
