Description
CordeValle is seeking an experienced and service-focused Housekeeping Supervisor to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the resort. This position plays a critical leadership role in supervising housekeeping operations, inspecting guest accommodations, supporting team development, and ensuring an exceptional luxury guest experience.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about hospitality excellence, with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced resort environment.
Essential Job Objectives
- Provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests and members.
- Maintain the resort’s standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, villas, public areas, and support spaces.
- Ensure guest confidentiality and security standards are consistently upheld.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to guest requests, concerns, and service needs.
- Support a positive team culture through communication, accountability, and leadership.
- Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance Standards with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Promote safety awareness and follow all safe work practices outlined in company policies, SOPs, SDS guidelines, and the Injury & Illness Prevention Program.
- Comply with all resort policies and procedures.
- Achieve departmental productivity goals and cleanliness standards.
- Enhance the guest experience by proactively identifying opportunities to exceed expectations.
- Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and team members.
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with additional housekeeping assignments and special projects as needed.
Primary Duties
- Assign daily cleaning stations to Villa Attendants and House Attendants.
- Supervise Villa Attendants, House Attendants, and Laundry Attendants.
- Prepare daily showroom accommodations including Farmhouse, Bungalows, and Villas.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
- Correct deficiencies and provide coaching as necessary.
- Report room status updates to the Executive Housekeeper, Front Office, or Manager on Duty.
- Inspect and inventory housekeeping storerooms and supplies.
- Process and follow up on maintenance work orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
- Inspect housekeeping equipment for safe operation and report repair needs.
- Coordinate with Engineering regarding maintenance issues in guest rooms or facilities.
- Ensure all lost and found items are properly secured and documented.
- Supervise evening turndown service operations.
- Report and document workplace injuries according to company procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and training of newly hired housekeeping team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that are customary to the position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the housekeeping department of a luxury hotel or resort preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional appearance and commitment to high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of guest service expectations within a luxury hospitality setting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and resort information.
- Completion of housekeeping-related continuing education courses preferred.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the shift.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment.
