About the Role
We need someone who can make people stop, read, and act in that order. This role is for someone who understands that good copy isn't about fancy words, it's about clear thinking put into simple sentences. If you naturally notice why one headline works and another doesn't, we want to talk.
Key Responsibilities
- Write crisp, engaging copy for social media posts, ads, landing pages, emails, and in-app communication
- Adapt tone and voice based on platform, audience, and context — a WhatsApp nudge is not a LinkedIn post
- Collaborate with the marketing and design team to shape campaigns from concept to execution
- Write multiple versions of the same message and test what resonates better
- Edit and proofread all outgoing brand communication for clarity and consistency
- Study competitor messaging and identify gaps we can own
- Turn product features and user stories into compelling narratives that drive action
What We're Looking For
- Clear, structured thinking, you organize your thoughts before you write
- Sensitivity to tone and context, you know when to be warm, when to be witty, and when to be direct
- Strong grip on language - English, Hindi, or Hinglish, grammar matters, but voice matters more
- Ability to simplify complex ideas into short, punchy communication
- Observational skills - you pick up on how real people talk, what they respond to, and what they ignore
- Speed and adaptability, you can go from writing an emotional brand story to a 6-word CTA in the same hour
- Openness to feedback and iteration, first drafts are starting points, not finished products
Good to Have
- A portfolio, blog, tweets, captions, meme page — anything that shows how you write
- Familiarity with how copy works differently across Instagram, LinkedIn, email, and performance ads
- Basic understanding of what drives someone to click, sign up, or share
- Interest in storytelling, branding, or behavioral psychology
