About The Role
We are looking for a creative and impact-driven Copywriter who can turn stories into meaningful action. In this role, you will create emotionally compelling and conversion-focused copy across campaigns, fundraising initiatives, digital platforms, and performance marketing assets. You will work closely with designers, video editors, and marketers to craft communication that informs, engages, and inspires people to support important causes.
Key Responsibilities
- Write emotionally engaging and conversion-focused copy for fundraising campaigns, performance ads, landing pages, donor emails, website content, and social media.
- Create strong headlines, hooks, taglines, CTAs, and campaign messaging that drive engagement and donations.
- Develop compelling narratives around beneficiaries, NGOs, and social causes that feel authentic and human.
- Write scripts for reels, campaign videos, testimonials, and short-form storytelling content.
- Adapt campaign messaging across multiple formats including banners, ad copy, captions, WhatsApp communication, push notifications, and retention campaigns.
- Maintain Donatekart’s tone of voice across all communication, empathetic, transparent, urgent, and impact-driven.
- Collaborate with designers, video editors, and campaign teams to bring ideas to life.
- Brainstorm fresh campaign angles, storytelling formats, and creative hooks with the marketing team.
- Understand audience behavior and platform trends to create content that improves engagement and conversion performance.
- Conduct basic interviews with NGO partners, beneficiaries, or campaign stakeholders when required to build authentic stories.
- Support product and retention teams with microcopy for web, app experiences, email journeys, and WhatsApp automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, digital marketing, advertising, or storytelling.
- Strong portfolio showcasing ad copy, campaign writing, social media copy, scripts, or fundraising communication.
- Excellent command over English with a strong understanding of persuasive writing, storytelling, tone, and messaging.
- Ability to write concise, emotionally compelling, and high-converting copy.
- Experience writing across multiple formats including ads, campaigns, scripts, emails, websites, and social media.
- Ability to simplify complex or sensitive stories into clear and impactful communication.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple campaigns and quick turnaround timelines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- High attention to detail and consistency across communication channels.
