Role Description
The Copyeditor role at Educatup is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The copyeditor will review and refine educational manuscripts and digital content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing text for language accuracy, restructuring sentences for readability, checking facts where needed, and ensuring alignment with client specifications. The role involves close collaboration with writers, editors, and project managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality across multiple projects. The copyeditor will also provide feedback to authors, prepare content for final production, and support continuous improvement of editorial standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Grammar and Proofreading skills for accurate and polished content.
- Candidates should possess Text Editing and Editorial skills for refining structure, style, and consistency.
- Candidates should possess Writing skills to craft clear language and improve readability where required.
- Candidates should have excellent attention to detail, strong time-management abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple projects.
- Candidates should have proficiency with common editing tools and document formats, and familiarity with style guides (e.g., Chicago, APA, or similar).
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in educational publishing or academic content editing is highly beneficial.
Experience Requirements
· One or more years of professional copy editing experience.
