About the Founder
Sundar Kumarasamy is the Founder & CEO of Excelerate — the world's first platform for gaining 21st-century skills through personalised, experiential learning. A Forbes Business Council member and former Senior Vice Chancellor at Northeastern University, Sundar sits at the intersection of education, technology, and the future of work.
He writes and speaks on agentic AI, workforce transformation, and the democratisation of career opportunity. His ideas reach a global audience of business leaders, educators, and talent professionals. This role exists to help him do that more consistently, more powerfully, and with less friction.
Role Overview
This is a ghostwriting and content role, not a brand management role. You will work directly with our founder to craft written content that reflects his thinking, his voice, and his professional standing — across his professional profiles.
The work is close, collaborative, and high-trust. You will need to understand how Sundar thinks, what he cares about, and how he sounds — then translate that into writing that earns attention from the right people. No fluff, no filler. Just sharp, credible, purposeful content.
Key ResponsibilitiesLinkedIn — Thought Leadership
• Write 3–5 LinkedIn posts per week in Sundar's voice across topics including AI, talent, EdTech, and the future of work.
• Research recent industry developments, reports, and news to generate topical post angles.
• Promote Sundar's media coverage (Forbes articles, interviews, speaking engagements) through well-crafted posts.
• Develop a content rhythm hooks, narratives, and CTAs that drives consistent engagement.
Blog & Long-Form Content
• Write blog posts and articles for that connect Sundar's thought leadership to Excelerate's mission and audience.
• Repurpose long-form ideas into digestible formats and vice versa.
• Support SEO-conscious writing where relevant, without sacrificing readability.
Voice & Research
• Conduct briefing conversations (written or verbal) with Sundar to extract ideas, opinions, and angles.
• Research topics independently — read industry reports, articles, and data — and surface what's most relevant.
• Maintain a consistent, evolving understanding of Sundar's voice, positions, and professional identity.
What We're Looking ForEssential
• 2+ years of writing experience copywriting, content writing, journalism, or ghostwriting.
• Strong, adaptable written English. You can write like a person, not a press release.
• Proven ability to write in someone else's voice. Portfolio must include samples where you wrote for another person.
• Familiarity with what makes LinkedIn content work — hooks, formats, tone, and professional engagement.
• Genuine curiosity about AI, workforce trends, or the future of education.
• Self-directed and reliable — you manage your time and meet deadlines without hand-holding.
Preferred
• Experience ghostwriting for founders, executives, or public figures.
• Background writing about AI, HR Tech, EdTech, or startup ecosystems.
• Understanding of personal branding strategy for thought leaders.
What You'll Gain
• Close collaboration with a Forbes Business Council-listed founder at the forefront of AI and education.
• Published work (attributed or ghostwritten) that reaches a global professional audience on LinkedIn and beyond.
• Deep exposure to how a founder at the intersection of AI, workforce, and EdTech thinks and operates.
• Flexible, fully remote engagement with a fast-moving, high-ownership team.
• Potential for contract renewal or expanded scope based on performance.
Selection Task
Shortlisted candidates will complete the following two tasks before final selection. These are designed to assess your ability to adapt to a founder's voice, research independently, and write across formats.
Estimated time: 3–4 hours total. Please submit both tasks with your application.
TASK 01 | LinkedIn Post — Promoting Sundar's Forbes Article
Context
Sundar recently published a Forbes Business Council article titled "The 42 Percent Problem: Why Agentic AI Will Break the Traditional Talent Pipeline" (Forbes, March 31, 2026). The article argues that agentic AI is not just automating tasks — it is structurally dismantling the entry-level talent pipeline that organisations have relied on for decades to develop their future leaders.

Your Task
Write a LinkedIn post, in Sundar's voice, that promotes this Forbes article. The post must:
• Open with a hook that makes a senior professional stop scrolling.
• Distil the article's core argument in 2–3 sentences — clearly, not academically.
• Include a brief personal reflection or observation in Sundar's voice.
• End with a CTA that drives readers to the full article.
• Be 180–260 words. Natural paragraph breaks. No bullet lists within the post.
Deliverables in a document
▪ The LinkedIn post (180–260 words) in Sundar's voice.
▪ A 2–3 line note on the voice and tone choices you made.
TASK 02 | Blog Post — For 4excelerate.org
Context
Excelerate (4excelerate.org) is a platform for 21st-century skills and experiential learning, connecting learners, universities, and employers. Its blog audience includes students, early-career professionals, and institutional partners.
The tone is: professional but accessible, forward-thinking, mission-driven, and human. Not corporate. Not breathlessly enthusiastic. Grounded and credible.
Your Task
Write a blog post for 4excelerate.org that connects the themes of Sundar's Forbes article to the challenges facing today's learners and early-career professionals.
Suggested angle (you may adapt this): "What the 42% Problem Means for the Next Generation — and Why Experiential Learning Is the Answer"
Requirements:
• Length: 600–800 words.
• Include a title and subtitle.
• Use 2–3 subheadings to organise the piece.
• Write for learners and early professionals navigating an AI-disrupted job market.
• Weave in Excelerate's value naturally — it should feel editorial, not promotional.
• End with a CTA relevant to the platform.
Deliverables
▪ Complete blog post (600–800 words) with title, subtitle, and subheadings.
▪ Plain text or Google Doc — no design or formatting required.
