Role Overview
We are looking for a Copy Editor with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Level-1 and Level-2 copy editing. The candidate should have strong expertise in language editing, grammar correction, and style consistency, particularly in academic or publishing content.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform Level-1 copy editing (grammar correction, spelling, punctuation, consistency checks)
• Perform Level-2 copy editing (sentence restructuring, clarity improvement, readability enhancement)
• Ensure language accuracy and stylistic consistency
• Follow publisher style guides (APA, Chicago, MLA, or client-specific styles)
• Maintain the author’s original meaning while improving readability
• Use Microsoft Word Track Changes for editing and comments
• Deliver high-quality edited content within deadlines
Required Skills
• Strong command of English grammar and language editing
• Experience in academic or publishing copy editing
• Ability to apply editorial style guidelines
• Strong attention to detail
• Good understanding of editing workflows
Experience Requirement
• 2–3 years of practical experience in L1 and L2 copy editing
• Experience editing academic, educational, or journal content preferred
