Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Copy Editor role for children’s books (K-8) at our New Delhi office. The Copy Editor will be responsible for reviewing and refining manuscripts to ensure grammatical correctness, consistency, and adherence to editorial standards. Key responsibilities include proofreading and editing content, ensuring clarity and readability, collaborating with writers and illustrators for creative alignment, and maintaining the quality of materials suited for young readers.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Grammar, Proofreading, and Text Editing to ensure accuracy and editorial quality.
- Proficiency in Editorial processes, including reviewing and refining content for consistency and clarity.
- Excellent Writing skills and the ability to craft and assess language appropriate for children in the K-8 age group.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot and resolve inconsistencies in format, style, or tone.
- Familiarity with children’s literature and age-appropriate educational materials is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field is preferred.
