Job Overview
The position is part of the team responsible for managing and executing all event based campaigns and the philanthropy platform of United Way Mumbai. The predominant event under the campaigns team is the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM). TMM is India's biggest charity sporting event, annually raising more than Rs 72+ crores for nearly 300 NGOs with participation from hundreds of companies and thousands of fundraisers and donors.
United Way Mumbai as the philanthropy partners of event, serves as the philanthropic exchange connecting donors to charities by creating and implementing an organized and structured charity platform and process. UWM's online platform also administers programs like monthly giving and volunteering with partner NGOs.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Improve and communicate the charity structure to maximize the fundraising capacity and visibility of all participating charities via the event.
- Maintain excellent processes to ensure flawless execution of the charity structure
- Build and develop good relationship and communications with NGOs, fundraisers, donors, and partners.
- Contribute to all activities of Campaigns team including working on new event collaborations.
- Research, recommend and incorporate best practices to improve team efficiency
- On-board participating NGOs for all campaigns and programs and curate projects to be funded on our platform.
- Cultivate a close relationship with NGO partners and be the one-point contact from United Way Mumbai.
- Develop in-depth knowledge on the sector and provide insights to the management on making key decisions from time to time.
- Assist and advise participating NGOs and fundraisers in scaling their participation and conduct capacity building workshops.
- Manage the entire fund cycle of all participating NGOs including - raising, receiving, accounting, reconciling, disbursing, and reporting.
- Maintain and analyse the data generated in every campaign and on the basis of the analysis provide suggestions and changes to the charity structure.
- Work on Salesforce CRM to manage NGO and donor records, track engagement, and maintain accurate campaign data
- Use AI productivity tools to improve work efficiency — including drafting communications, summarising reports, and preparing data for review.
Profile Requisites
- Organized and an excellent communicator — written as well as oral.
- A people's person with natural flair and maturity for developing relationships and network.
- Set high standards for quality of work and work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way
- Work well with minimal direct supervision
- Comfortable with MS Office especially Excel. (essential)
- Comfortable learning and working with new technology platforms
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Have passion and drive to make a difference in society through supporting causes.
- Make people feel at ease and builds good working relationships with them
- Make rational judgments from the available information and analysis
- Able to analyze numerical data and all other sources of information and to break them into component parts, patterns and relationships
- An understanding of the nonprofit sector is desirable but not essential. Sensitivity to the sector is essential.
- Having 2 years to 4 years of experience working in the development sector is an advantage.
- Maturity of the candidate is an important consideration.
Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the salary range is INR 4.5 LPA - 7 LPA
