Job Summary:
We are seeking a hard-working, proactive, strategic, and highly collaborative communications leader to fill the role of Division Communications, Senior Manager,supporting CooperVision and CooperSurgical. This high-visibility, “roll up your sleeves” role will partner closely with divisional executives to ensure employees are informed, inspired, and aligned to both divisional and enterprise strategy.
As a key member of the Global Corporate Communications team, this individual will help shape and deliver integrated internal communications that foster employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and build confidence in our direction. The role offers significant growth potential and the opportunity to influence how our people connect to our purpose, values, and business performance across the globe.
This is a highly hands-on role for a builder and executor. Strategic thinking is essential, but we are looking for someone who also loves doing the work—writing, building, launching, and solving problems hands‑on. Success is dependent on personal ownership and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary communications business partner to the divisions’ leadership teams, advising executives on strategic communications.
- Develop and personally execute an annual divisional communications plan aligned with global strategy.
- Support an evolving corporate and divisional narrative and brand, helping to drive commitment to shared success.
- Create compelling, relevant, and timely content that connects employees to the company’s strategy, culture, and priorities, including but not limited to drafting core messages and materials for leadership communications, employee updates, all-hands meetings, digital content, corporate awards, and social media.
- Leverage our newly-launched intranet and partner with the Global Communications Team to continuously improve the platform to optimize the employee experience.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen alignment and employee confidence in the organization’s purpose and direction.
- Run divisional crisis and issues communications in partnership with Global Corporate Communications, ensuring preparedness, alignment, and timely response.
- Drive divisional leadership visibility through talking points, presentations, town halls, and employee forums, ensuring consistent messaging across all audiences.
- Monitor employee sentiment and feedback within the division to inform ongoing engagement and communication improvements.
- Act as a connector between the division and the Global Corporate Communications team, ensuring two-way alignment and integration of key messages, milestones, and cultural moments.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated success advising senior leaders and managing executive communications.
- Proven ability to translate complex strategies into clear, engaging, and actionable communications for diverse audiences.
- Experience in issues and crisis communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strategic thinker who can also execute tactically with a high degree of autonomy.
- Collaborative, curious, and solutions oriented. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Energized by executing the work personally, especially in fast‑moving, resource-lean environments

Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications within a global, matrixed organization.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $123,618.00 and $176,597.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
This is a fixed-term contract role for 6 - 8 months.
