About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled WhatsApp API Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing WhatsApp-based communication solutions using WhatsApp Business APIs and automation platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in API integrations, chatbot workflows, automation, and customer engagement systems.
The role involves working closely with product, engineering, and business teams to build scalable messaging solutions for customer support, notifications, lead engagement, and conversational workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate solutions using WhatsApp Business API.
- Build and maintain chatbot and messaging automation workflows.
- Integrate WhatsApp APIs with CRM, backend systems, and third-party applications.
- Work on webhook integrations, APIs, authentication, and messaging flows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API integration and delivery-related issues.
- Optimize message delivery, automation workflows, and customer communication journeys.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of messaging systems.
- Monitor API performance, logs, and system health.
- Stay updated with latest WhatsApp Business API features and messaging technologies.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with WhatsApp Business API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Webhooks.
- Good knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of chatbot platforms and conversational workflows.
- Familiarity with CRM integrations and automation tools.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with messaging platforms like Twilio, Gupshup, or Meta APIs.
- Exposure to chatbot automation and conversational AI tools.
- Experience working in SaaS or product-based companies.
