About the RoleThis role sits at the core of a centralized control tower managing hyperlocal deliveries across India through a distributed network of logistics partners and rider fleets.
Operating within a Logistics Service Provider (LSP) ecosystem on the Open Network for Digital Commerce, you will drive real-time execution, demand-supply balancing, and partner performance across multiple cities.
You will be part of the control layer powering Trun.network, orchestrating deliveries through third-party vendors and rider aggregators at scale.
Role OverviewAs the Central Operations Manager, you will act as the command center for last-mile operations—ensuring seamless order fulfillment by aligning demand with rider supply across a nationwide partner network.
This is not a city operations role—it requires managing a multi-city, multi-partner logistics network with a strong focus on real-time decision-making, vendor coordination, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1. Control Tower Operations- Monitor and manage real-time delivery operations across cities via centralized dashboards
- Ensure SLA adherence for pickups, transit, and deliveries
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, delays, and exceptions
- Drive allocation efficiency, batching, and dispatch optimization
2. Vendor & Rider Network Management- Build and manage relationships with logistics partners and fleet vendors
- Ensure adequate rider supply across geographies based on demand patterns
- Drive onboarding of delivery partners and rider networks
- Monitor partner KPIs: acceptance rate, fulfillment rate, cancellations, utilization
3. Demand-Supply Planning- Forecast order volumes and align rider capacity accordingly
- Manage peak demand through surge pricing, incentives, and partner allocation
- Optimize cost per delivery while maintaining service quality
4. Network Operations (ONDC / LSP Ecosystem)- Manage delivery flows within the Open Network for Digital Commerce ecosystem
- Coordinate with multiple logistics partners integrated via Trun.network
- Ensure seamless fulfillment across decentralized buyer-seller networks
- Handle escalations and ensure service reliability across partners
5. Performance & Analytics- Track and improve key metrics:
- Order Fulfillment Rate
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Rider Utilization
- Cost per Order
- Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement
6. Stakeholder Management- Work closely with product, tech, and city ops teams
- Coordinate with client/merchant teams for demand planning
- Act as the central escalation point for operational issues
7. Process & SOP Excellence- Design and implement scalable SOPs for control tower operations
- Drive automation and workflow improvements
- Ensure compliance across partner operations
Key Requirements- 4+ years of experience in hyperlocal logistics / last-mile delivery operations
- Prior experience in companies like Shadowfax, Loadshare, Pidge or similar ecosystems
- Strong understanding of multi-city last-mile operations and fleet/vendor management
- Experience managing partner ecosystems and rider supply
- Hands-on experience with real-time ops dashboards and decision-making
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, real-time environments
Preferred Skills- Experience working with ONDC or similar open-network ecosystems
- Understanding of LSP models and multi-partner orchestration
- Familiarity with dispatch systems, APIs, and logistics platforms
- Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills
