Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Control Room Operator role based in Coimbatore. The Control Room Operator will monitor and control plant operations, ensuring continuous and efficient power generation according to established procedures and safety standards. Responsibilities include tracking system performance, responding to alarms, coordinating with field operators, and maintaining accurate logs of operating conditions and events. The role also involves supporting routine inspections, reporting equipment issues, assisting in start-up and shutdown activities, and communicating clearly with supervisors and technical teams to maintain safe and reliable operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills and experience in control room operations, including monitoring systems and coordinating plant activities.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of plant operations and power generation processes, with an ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with steam systems and related equipment used in industrial or power plant environments.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for clear coordination with on-site teams, supervisors, and support staff.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related field) is preferred.
- Experience in power plants, utilities, or industrial process facilities will be an advantage.
- Ability to work in shifts, remain attentive under pressure, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with control systems interfaces and reporting tools.
