Responsibilities
1. Design & Engineering
- Prepare control panel GA drawings, layout drawings, and wiring schematics
- Develop SLD (Single Line Diagrams) and power distribution drawings
- Select components (PLC, relays, MCBs, contactors, SMPS, terminal blocks, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
2. Panel Assembly & Wiring
- Supervise panel fabrication and internal wiring
- Ensure proper mounting of components as per layout
- Maintain correct cable routing, ferruling, and labeling
- Verify torque settings and electrical clearances
3. PLC & Automation Integration
- Install and configure PLC, HMI, and communication modules
- Coordinate with automation engineers for I/O mapping
- Check interlocks, logic implementation, and signal integrity
4. Testing & Quality Checks
- Conduct continuity tests, insulation resistance (IR) tests, and functional testing
- Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) with client
- Ensure all punch points are closed before dispatch
5. Documentation
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Maintain test reports and inspection reports
- Provide as-built drawings and O&M manuals
6. Site Support & Commissioning
- Provide support during installation and commissioning
- Troubleshoot electrical faults
- Ensure smooth integration with field instruments
7. Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety standards (IEC/IS standards)
- Ensure proper earthing and protection systems
- Adhere to project and company safety protocols
Key Skills Required
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems
- Electrical panel design software (AutoCAD/EPLAN)
- Understanding of industrial standards
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Coordination with clients, vendors, and production teams
