Job Title: Control Engineer (O&M- Site Lead) - AMC and ASRS Systems
Qualifications:
- Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Ability to handle mechanical aspects as well, demonstrating double competency.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with AWS, ASRS systems, automated conveyor systems, and AMC/O&M services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 7–8 technicians for the safe operation, fault troubleshooting, and maintenance of ASRS, RGV, Lifters, and Conveyor systems in line with OEM standards.
- Plan and execute monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual O&M services, including on-call and on-site support.
- Develop and manage the annual O&M service schedule and ensure timely completion of all planned activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer coordination, internal reporting, and spare parts planning with the Bastian Reporting Manager and Spare Parts Division.
- Provide temporary site coverage for O&M Controls Engineers (for absences over 6 days) across PAN India O&M locations, if required.
- Troubleshoot and maintain control systems, including PLCs, Drives, HMIs, and automation software (preferably Siemens TIA Portal).
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to resolve major breakdowns and technical issues.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive O&M documentation, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Why-Why reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure full compliance with site-level administrative and statutory requirements.
- Manage site team operations including training, timesheet tracking, expense reports, and leave management.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining automation and control systems.
- Effective communication/coordination skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and industrial automation systems preferred.
- Willingness to relocate across PAN India as per project or contract requirements.
- Proficiency in Tamil language preferred.
