Role Description
We are looking for an experienced SFCC Team Lead & Architect with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce B2C Commerce (Demandware). The ideal candidate will lead development efforts while designing scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions. This role requires deep understanding of SFCC architecture, storefront development, integrations, and complete e-commerce lifecycle management.
Engagement Model: Contractual
Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance and project requirements)
Mode of Work: Hybrid - Gurgaon (Preferred) /Che/Blr/Pune/Mum/Noida
Experience Required
- 8+ years overall experience
- Minimum 5 years in SFCC development
- Prior experience in team leadership or solution architecture roles
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of SFCC developers, ensuring best practices and high-quality delivery
- Design, develop, and customize scalable e-commerce solutions on the SFCC platform
- Architect end-to-end SFCC solutions including storefront, backend, and integrations
- Develop and maintain storefront features using SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture)
- Implement business logic using ISML, Controllers, Pipelines, and SFCC Scripts
- Configure and manage Business Manager (catalogs, promotions, pricing, shipping, payments, site preferences)
- Integrate third-party systems using OCAPI, REST, SOAP, and Open Commerce APIs
- Build and maintain integrations with payment gateways, tax systems, shipping providers, OMS, CRM, and inventory systems
- Work on headless/composable commerce architectures (JAMstack preferred)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, backend, QA) for seamless delivery
- Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices
- Conduct code reviews, manage deployments, and oversee release cycles
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience in Salesforce B2C Commerce (SFCC / Demandware)
- Team handling and architecture experience is mandatory
- Salesforce B2C Developer Certification (mandatory or highly preferred)
- Hands-on expertise with SFRA
- Proficiency in ISML, Controllers, Pipelines, SFCC Scripts
- Strong experience with Business Manager configuration
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with Node.js (middleware, tooling, integrations)
- Strong experience in REST & SOAP API integrations
- Solid understanding of end-to-end e-commerce workflows (product, cart, checkout, order management, payments, shipping)
