Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Contractor role located in Mumbai. The Contractor will be responsible for installing, fitting, and finishing aluminum and glass structures such as windows, doors, facades, and interior partitions according to project specifications and safety standards. Daily tasks include interpreting drawings, measuring and cutting materials, coordinating with site supervisors and other trades, and ensuring clean, accurate, and secure installations. The role also involves inspecting completed work, performing minor repairs or adjustments as needed, maintaining tools and equipment, and following all safety procedures and company guidelines. The Contractor is expected to manage time effectively, meet project deadlines, and uphold professional conduct at client sites.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aluminum and glass installation, fitting, and fabrication in residential or commercial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant tools, materials, and equipment, including safe handling and maintenance practices.
- Understanding of on-site safety standards, local building regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
- Good physical stamina with the ability to work at heights, lift moderate weights, and perform manual tasks safely.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors, clients, and other contractors.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including troubleshooting installation issues and suggesting practical solutions.
- Prior experience in Mumbai or similar urban construction environments is an advantage.
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent; vocational training in construction, fabrication, or related fields is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on project needs and adhere to company policies and ethical standards.
