Role Description The Commis I Conti role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The team member will assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes in line with the café’s culinary standards and menu guidelines. Daily responsibilities include maintaining workstation hygiene, following food safety protocols, supporting senior chefs, and ensuring consistent taste and presentation. The role also involves coordinating with the service team, responding to guest requests related to food, and contributing to a smooth kitchen operation during peak hours. This position offers the opportunity to grow culinary skills in a creative, music-inspired café environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Food Preparation and Cooking, with the ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines.
- Well-developed Culinary Skills, including basic knife skills, plating, and familiarity with café-style cuisine.
- Commitment to Hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service teams and respond to guest needs.
- Prior experience in a professional kitchen or café environment is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, and perform well under pressure.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow within a creative, music-oriented setting.
- Culinary certification or formal training is an advantage but not mandatory.
