Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparation of continental dishes as per standard recipes
  • Perform basic food preparation like chopping, cutting, marination, and portioning
  • Ensure mise en place is ready before service hours
  • Follow instructions given by senior chefs (CDP/Sous Chef)
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size
  • Ensure proper storage of raw materials and prepared food
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen and work station
  • Follow food safety standards (FIFO, labeling, temperature control)
  • Assist in plating and presentation of dishes
  • Monitor stock levels and inform seniors for replenishment
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any damage
  • Ensure minimal wastage of food items
  • Support team during busy service hours
  • Learn new recipes and cooking techniques regularly
  • Follow grooming and uniform standards
  • Adhere to hotel SOPs and policies
  • Maintain discipline and punctuality
  • Coordinate with stewarding for cleanliness and utensils
  • Assist in receiving and checking kitchen supplies
