About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology (General or I/O focus) to join our team as Content Writing Interns. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application. You will create impactful content for parents, educators, and professionals for the Indian School Psychology Association (InSPA), while also helping launch a new platform dedicated to demystifying mental health for the layman. From covering high-level conferences to writing guides that help individuals identify when to seek therapy, your work will directly impact how mental health is perceived and accessed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evidence-Based Research: Assist in the team’s research on school psychology, child development, and I/O principles specifically tailored to the Indian educational and corporate landscape.
  • Multi-Channel Content Creation: Draft articles, thought-leadership pointers, and social media updates for four distinct audiences: parents, students, school administrators, and professional psychologists following the existing guidelines and processes.
  • Mental Health Literacy & "Demystification": Translate complex clinical theories and research papers into accessible, empathetic, and "layman-friendly" language that encourages help-seeking behavior without compromising scientific accuracy.
  • Event & Workshop Documentation: Assist in covering workshops, sessions, and conferences (such as InSPA/APSPA events) to create summaries and key takeaway resources for the community.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Participate in brainstorming sessions and work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure all content aligns with the ethical standards of psychology and Social Nanban’s mission.

Internship Benefits

  • Publication & Visibility: Have your work featured on the Organization's social media account(s), enhancing your professional visibility within the national psychology community.
  • Deepen Knowledge: Gain insights into school psychology, policy making, and current mental health trends in India.
  • Professional Networking: Connect with leading academics, practitioners, and fellow psychology enthusiasts in the field.
  • Mentorship: Benefit from direct guidance and feedback from experienced subject matter experts.
  • Certification: Receive an Internship Experience Certificate and a Letter of Recommendation for exceptional performers upon the successful completion of the 3-month tenure.
  • Real World Benefits: Gain hands-on experience in creating psychology-based content and simplifying complex ideas for a wider audience. Develop research, writing, and digital skills while building a strong portfolio for future opportunities.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology (General, Clinical, Counseling, or I/O Psychology preferred).
  • Mental Health Literacy: A strong intent to explore School Psychology, child development, and organizational behavior within the Indian context.
  • Effective Communication: A strong ability to write clearly in English and a willingness to learn how to adapt your writing style for different audiences—from academic professionals to parents and students.
  • Research Curiosity: A strong interest in exploring School Psychology and I/O concepts, with the ability to source information from peer-reviewed journals or our SMEs and translate that knowledge into actionable long form and short form content.
  • Schedule & Commitment: Ability to commit to your chosen track (Full-day or 4-hour) for the full 3-month duration.
  • Availability: Must be available for pre-scheduled team syncs (including occasional sessions after 6:00 PM) to coordinate with our Subject Matter Experts and production team.
  • Ethical Professionalism: A deep commitment to ethical reporting and confidentiality, ensuring all mental health content is safe, accurate, and supportive.
