Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dehradun, for a Content Writer at Trek The Himalayas. The Content Writer will be responsible for creating and managing high-quality written content, including blogs, articles, and promotional material. Day-to-day tasks include developing content strategies, conducting thorough research on trekking and adventure-related topics, writing engaging content to promote trekking experiences, and ensuring all materials are proofread for accuracy and quality.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Write engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly content related to travel, trekking, adventure, and destinations.
- Create blogs, trek guides, itineraries, travel stories, and expedition reports.
- Travel on treks and trips to document real-time experiences through content, interviews, and observations.
- Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to create campaign-based content.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand tone.
- Conduct research on destinations, trekking routes, culture, safety guidelines, and travel trends.
- Convert travel experiences into compelling storytelling for websites, newsletters, and social platforms.
- Assist with content planning and execution of content calendars.
Requirements
- Strong interest and passion for travel, trekking, and adventure.
- Excellent written English with strong storytelling ability.
- 2+ years of content writing experience (travel niche preferred).
- Basic understanding of SEO and digital content practices.
- Ability to travel frequently for content research and on-field storytelling.
- Trekking or mountaineering experience is an added advantage.
