Overview : We are looking for a Content Writer who can develop meaningful, research-driven, and purpose-oriented content for Seva Tarang and its nonprofit partners.
The role requires a strong storyteller who can convert program work, grassroots impact, and organizational insights into compelling narratives for websites, digital platforms, and donor communication. The position also involves on-site interaction with nonprofit partners to understand their work and gather authentic stories and insights.
Responsibilities :
Content Development
• Write engaging content for websites, blogs, case studies, newsletters, and social media. Develop impact stories, beneficiary narratives, and program highlights for nonprofit partners.
•Draft donor communication, campaign messages, and fundraising narratives.
Digital & SEO Content
•Create digital marketing content aligned with SEO principles and keyword mapping. Support website content optimization for search visibility.
•Assist in planning content calendars for LinkedIn, blogs, and email communication.
Research & Documentation
• Research social sector themes, development issues, and nonprofit initiatives.
• Translate research insights into informative and accessible content.
• Support preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge resources.
• Conduct onsite visits to nonprofit partners, interact with program teams and stakeholders, and gather insights through discussions
Requirements :
Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Social Sciences, Journalism, Communications, Literature, or related fields.
Experience:
• 4 to 5 years of experience in content writing - storytelling, blogs, case studies, success stories, social media posts, websites, SEO mapping, and non-profit communication.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi writing.
• Strong storytelling ability with sensitivity to social sector narratives.
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including keyword mapping and content structuring.
• Research-oriented approach with the ability to understand development topics.
• Ability to write original content without heavy dependence on AI tools.
