Job title: Influencer Content Strategist
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Experience: 3-5 Years
About the Role
We are looking for an Influencer Content Strategist who will act as the creative backbone of our influencer programme. This person will sit between our brand team and our influencer roster — co-creating ideas, curating briefs, reviewing content before it goes live, and constantly raising the creative bar to ensure every post, reel, or video drives measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Ideation & Co-Creation
- Collaborate with influencers at the brief stage — before a single frame is shot — to develop hook concepts, storylines, and messaging angles that align with campaign goals
- Run regular ideation sessions (1:1 or group) with the influencer roster to surface fresh, platform-native content ideas
- Translate brand objectives and product launches into creator-friendly narratives that feel authentic, not scripted
- Develop trend-led content calendars for the influencer programme, 4–6 weeks in advance
- Research trending audio, formats, and content structures on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant platforms
2. Content Brief Writing
- Own the brief-writing process — create detailed yet flexible content briefs that give influencers creative direction without stifling their voice
- Each brief must clearly specify: hook format, key messages, product integration points, mandatory disclosures, dos and don'ts, and reference examples
- Develop a standardized brief template library segmented by content type (unboxing, tutorial, lifestyle, testimonial, comparison, etc.)
3. Pre-Production Content Review
- Review scripts, outlines, and mood boards submitted by influencers before shooting begins
- Provide specific, actionable feedback on messaging clarity, product positioning, hook strength, and brand tone
- Flag non-compliant or off-brief content early and guide influencers to re-align — without damaging the relationship
4. Post-Production Quality Gate
- Review all influencer drafts and final cuts before they go live — across video, static, and carousel formats
- Use a structured content scorecard to evaluate each piece on: hook quality, brand message clarity, CTA strength, production quality, and authenticity
- Maintain a 48-hour turnaround SLA for content reviews to keep campaign timelines intact
- Coordinate revision rounds with influencers diplomatically — balancing quality standards with creator autonomy
5. Performance Analysis & Feedback Loop
- Track performance data (reach, engagement rate, swipe-ups, link clicks, conversions, and sales attributed) for each influencer's content
- Identify what types of content, hooks, and formats are driving actual sales vs. vanity metrics
- Conduct monthly performance debriefs with influencers — sharing what worked, what did not, and what to do differently
- Maintain a content learnings repository that continuously informs future briefs and ideation
6. Influencer Relationship & Content Culture
- Act as a trusted creative partner for influencers — someone who helps them produce their best work, not just police their output
- Onboard new influencers to brand standards through a structured content orientation process
- Build and maintain a content playbook: brand voice, visual identity, messaging pillars, campaign examples, and case studies
- Organize quarterly creator workshops or masterclasses to upskill the influencer roster collectively
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in influencer marketing, content strategy, or social media management
- Demonstrated ability to write creative briefs — with portfolio examples if possible
- Deep understanding of short-form video content: hooks, pacing, captions, and platform algorithms (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Moj, Josh)
- Strong aesthetic sensibility — can tell immediately whether a video frame, thumbnail, or caption is on-brand
- Experience in giving structured, constructive creative feedback to external creators or freelancers
- Comfortable with performance data: can read a dashboard, extract insights, and translate them into content decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication — can inspire and direct influencers without being prescriptive
- Project management skills: managing multiple campaigns, influencers, and review cycles simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Prior experience as a content creator or influencer themselves — understanding the creator's perspective is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with influencer CRM tools (Phyllo, Winkl, OPA, Qoruz, or similar)
- Basic video editing literacy — does not need to edit, but should understand the production process
- Experience in D2C or e-commerce brands where influencer content is directly tied to sales performance
- Knowledge of ASCI guidelines and FTC/paid partnership disclosure norms
Who You Are
- You are a creative thinker who is also organised and process-driven — rare, but essential for this role
- You care obsessively about quality and notice the difference between content that is merely good enough and content that actually connects
- You are a natural collaborator who can earn the trust of influencers while still upholding standards
- You are data-aware — you do not just create content for its own sake, you create content that moves numbers
- You thrive in a fast-moving environment, can context-switch between multiple influencer relationships, and never drop the ball on a deadline
What We Offer
- Ownership of a high-visibility function that directly impacts brand growth and revenue
- A collaborative team culture that values creative judgment and initiative
- Direct access to a growing network of influencers and content creators
- Clear growth path towards Senior Strategist or Head of Creator Partnerships
- Competitive salary and performance-linked incentives tied to content quality metrics
