Role Overview 

We are looking for a Content Lead who will own the entire content engine at 16score.com, from strategy to execution. You will be responsible for shaping our voice, scaling high-quality esports + gaming content, leading writers/creators, and ensuring content becomes a key driver of traffic, retention, and brand authority. This is a high-ownership role for someone who understands both storytelling and performance-driven content. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Planning 

• Build and execute the overall content roadmap across esports and gaming. 
• Identify high-impact content themes: tournaments, breaking news, guides, features, rankings, and evergreen stories. 
• Own the content calendar aligned with major events (BGMI, FreeFire, EWC, global esports circuits, etc.) 

Editorial & Content Leadership 

• Lead a team of writers, freelancers, and creators. 
• Ensure quality, consistency, tone, and speed across all published content. 
• Edit and optimize articles for clarity, engagement, and authority. 

SEO & Growth Content 

• Drive organic traffic growth through SEO-first content planning. 
• Work closely with SEO tools, keyword research, and content optimization practices. 
• Build scalable content formats: match pages, player bios, tournament hubs, explainers. 

Performance Tracking 

• Monitor content performance using analytics (GA, Search Console, etc.) 
• Improve KPIs such as: 
• Organic traffic 
• Time spent 
• Returning users 
• Content CTR 
• Engagement rate 

Brand Building 

• Establish 16score.com as a credible voice in Indian (and global) esports + gaming coverage. 
• Develop signature content series and storytelling formats. 

 

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have Skills 

• 3–6 years of experience in content/editorial roles (esports, gaming, media, or digital publishing). 
• Strong understanding of esports ecosystem + sports fan culture. 
• Proven experience scaling SEO-driven content. 
• Ability to manage writers and editorial workflows. 
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills. 

Good to Have 

• Experience working in esports orgs, sports media houses, or gaming startups. 
• Familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows (without compromising quality). 
• Understanding of monetization via content (ads, affiliates, sponsorships).
