The Content Editor will ensure that every piece of content is human-written, readable, accurate, SEO-friendly, and free from AI-like patterns, repetitive phrasing, incomplete sentences, formatting mistakes, and publishing errors.
Key Responsibilities
Content Editing and Quality Control
The Content Editor will review all content before publication to ensure clarity, accuracy, grammar, flow, and readability. The person must check that the content sounds natural, human, and professionally written, without robotic sentence structures or repeated AI-style phrases.
Responsibilities include:
- Edit content for grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, tone, and readability.
- Ensure content is meaningful, complete, and written in a natural human style.
- Remove AI-like patterns, repetitive phrasing, filler sentences, and generic wording.
- Check whether headings, subheadings, paragraphs, tables, bullets, and FAQs are properly structured.
- Ensure every sentence adds value and is relevant to the topic.
- Verify that content follows the approved editorial style and website format.
Pre-Publishing Checks
Before publishing, the Content Editor must conduct a complete quality review to ensure that no incorrect, incomplete, or poorly formatted content goes live.
Pre-publishing responsibilities include:
- Check title, H1, H2, meta title, meta description, slug, and page structure.
- Ensure all numbers, market values, CAGR, years, and segment shares are consistent across the content.
- Verify that tables, charts, images, captions, FAQs, and schema content are correct.
- Check internal links, anchor text, report names, and page references.
- Ensure there are no spelling mistakes, broken sentences, formatting gaps, duplicate paragraphs, or placeholder text.
- Confirm that content is ready for SEO, AIO, GEO, and user readability before it is published.
Post-Publishing Review
After publication, the Content Editor will review the live page to ensure the final output is correct and properly displayed.
Post-publishing responsibilities include:
- Check the published page on desktop and mobile.
- Ensure content layout, headings, tables, images, FAQs, and links are appearing correctly.
- Verify that no formatting issue occurred during upload.
- Check whether meta details, URL, schema, and page sections are properly implemented.
- Identify and correct any live-page errors immediately.
- Maintain a publishing QC tracker with errors found, corrections made, and final approval status.
AI Pattern and Human Content Review
The Content Editor must ensure that content does not look automatically generated or generic. The focus should be on human readability, editorial depth, and subject relevance.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and rewrite robotic, repetitive, or generic AI-style sentences.
- Improve content flow so it reads like expert-written editorial content.
- Ensure the content has proper logic, transitions, and meaningful explanation.
- Avoid overused AI phrases, unnecessary adjectives, and vague claims.
- Make content clear, specific, factual, and useful for readers.
