Job details:
Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor
Location: Jalandhar, Punjab
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Company Description
Mech Choice Tools is a modern hand tools manufacturer based in Jalandhar, Punjab, specialising in professional-quality wrenches and spanners for global markets.
Our manufacturing facility combines advanced forging, machining, heat treatment, polishing, automated plating, testing and quality-control technologies to manufacture products for international customers and markets.
With a strong focus on manufacturing excellence, automation, sustainability and global growth, we are building not only a world-class manufacturing company but also a strong digital presence that showcases modern Indian manufacturing to the world.
Role Description
We are looking for a highly creative Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor who understands how to turn real businesses, factories, products and people into engaging digital content.
This is not simply a video-editing position.
We want someone who can identify content opportunities, develop ideas, shoot content and transform raw footage into high-quality Instagram Reels, LinkedIn videos, YouTube Shorts and other social-first content.
The person will create content for:
1. Mech Choice Tools / Vishal Tools & Forgings
Showcasing our manufacturing processes, products, technology, quality systems, people, innovation, sustainability, exhibitions and global business.
2. CEO / Founder Personal Brand Content
Creating premium short-form content around entrepreneurship, manufacturing, leadership, business lessons, factory operations, decision-making and behind-the-scenes CEO life.
The objective is to create content that people actually stop, watch, share and remember — rather than conventional corporate videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate fresh and relevant social media content ideas every week.
- Plan and execute Instagram Reels, LinkedIn videos, YouTube Shorts and longer-form content.
- Create strong hooks, concepts, scripts and storyboards for videos.
- Shoot CEO/personal-brand videos inside the factory, office and other relevant locations.
- Capture compelling shop-floor footage of machinery, manufacturing processes, products, testing, employees and factory operations.
- Turn technical manufacturing subjects into simple, interesting and visually engaging stories.
- Edit fast-paced, premium social media videos with strong storytelling and retention.
- Add subtitles, motion graphics, B-roll, sound effects, music and transitions where appropriate.
- Create multiple videos from a single shoot or long recording.
- Identify spontaneous content opportunities while walking through the factory or attending events.
- Follow current social-media content styles, formats and trends without making the brand look gimmicky.
- Assist with product photography, executive photography and behind-the-scenes content.
- Create thumbnails, basic graphics and social-media creatives when required.
- Organise and maintain a structured library of footage, photographs and other digital assets.
- Work closely with the management and marketing teams to maintain a consistent brand image.
- Continuously analyse which content formats perform well and improve future content accordingly.
What We Are Looking For
We care more about your portfolio, creativity and understanding of social media than your degree.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong experience creating and editing Instagram Reels / short-form social media videos.
- Excellent command of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of After Effects, Canva or similar creative tools.
- Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling and viewer retention.
- Ability to operate professional cameras as well as shoot high-quality content using smartphones when appropriate.
- Understanding of lighting, framing, composition and audio recording.
- Ability to make a CEO/founder look natural, credible and premium on camera.
- Good understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts and current social-media formats.
- Ability to convert an idea into a finished piece of content — from concept → script → shoot → edit → final video.
- Basic photography and graphic-design capability.
- Strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership instead of waiting for detailed instructions for every video.
- Willingness to understand manufacturing processes and learn how our products are made.
- Ability to work full-time from our Jalandhar facility.
Experience in industrial/manufacturing content is helpful, but not mandatory. A highly creative candidate with an excellent social-media portfolio is more important.
The Person We Want
We are looking for someone who walks through a factory and immediately thinks:
“This could be a Reel.”
Someone who can see a forging press, quality inspection, business meeting, product launch, machine installation or CEO conversation and turn it into compelling content.
You should understand the difference between:
A corporate video people skip
and
A business story people want to watch.
Content You May Create
Examples include:
- “What happens when a batch fails inspection?”
- “The most expensive machine isn't always the most valuable one.”
- “Can India compete with China in manufacturing?”
- Behind-the-scenes factory content
- Manufacturing process Reels
- Product launches and demonstrations
- CEO business lessons
- Leadership and entrepreneurship content
- Day-in-the-life / behind-the-scenes CEO content
- Exhibition and international travel content
- Quality-control challenges
- Manufacturing myths and educational content
- Customer and company milestone stories
- Trend-led content adapted intelligently for a professional manufacturing brand
Application Requirement
Portfolio is mandatory.
Please share:
- Instagram Reels / short-form videos you have personally created
- Videos you have shot and edited
- Social-media pages you have worked on
- Your strongest 3–5 pieces of content
- Software and camera equipment you are comfortable using
Candidates may also be given a short practical assignment during the selection process to evaluate content ideas, shooting style and editing ability.
What Success Looks Like
Within this role, success means consistently producing content that:
- Makes manufacturing interesting to watch
- Builds Mech Choice Tools and Vishal Tools as modern global manufacturing brands
- Builds the CEO's personal brand and authority
- Improves content quality, reach, engagement and follower growth
- Creates a recognisable and premium visual identity across our social platforms
