Content & Creative Manager — Job Description
Department: Marketing / Creative Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 4–7 Years Location: On-site / Remote / Hybrid Reporting To: Founder / Marketing Director / CEO
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Content & Creative Manager to lead our creative department end-to-end. This is a senior leadership role built for someone who has grown from being a strong creative executor into a confident team leader and client-facing professional.
You will own three critical pillars of our business — creative output, content strategy, and account/stakeholder management — ensuring that everything the team produces is on-brand, on-time, and drives real results.
If you are someone who can sit in a client call in the morning, review a designer's work in the afternoon, and write a compelling content strategy by evening — this role was made for you.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers, content writers, and creative specialists
- Assign briefs, set deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of all creative projects
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and creative feedback sessions
- Build a high-performance creative culture with clear processes and accountability
- Identify skill gaps in the team and recommend hiring or training solutions
- Manage freelancers and external vendors when required
Account & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients or internal stakeholders
- Understand client briefs deeply and translate them into actionable creative directions
- Present creative concepts, campaign ideas, and content strategies to clients/leadership
- Manage client expectations, handle feedback, and ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple accounts simultaneously
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients based on trust and consistent results
Content Strategy & Creation
- Develop and own the overall content strategy across social media, website, email, and other channels
- Plan and manage monthly/quarterly content calendars aligned with business goals
- Write, review, and approve high-quality content — captions, blogs, scripts, ad copy, and more
- Ensure all content is on-brand, engaging, SEO-friendly, and audience-appropriate
- Collaborate with designers and video teams to produce integrated creative campaigns
- Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.) to enhance content production speed and quality
Creative Direction
- Set the visual and creative tone for campaigns, brand communications, and marketing materials
- Review and approve all design outputs before they go to clients or go live
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across all creative assets
- Stay ahead of design trends, content formats, and platform-specific best practices
- Drive innovative ideas that differentiate the brand in a competitive market
Reporting & Performance
- Track and report on content performance metrics — reach, engagement, traffic, and conversions
- Use data insights to refine content strategy and creative direction
- Present monthly performance reports to leadership with clear recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Design, Journalism, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in content, creative, or marketing roles — with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or managerial position
- Strong portfolio showcasing content strategy, creative campaigns, and team output
- Proven experience managing clients or external stakeholders directly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Hands-on experience with social media platforms, content management, and digital marketing
- Proficiency with design tools — Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent — enough to guide and review creative work
- Comfortable using AI tools for content creation and workflow efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a creative/digital marketing agency
- Familiarity with project management tools like Trello, Asana, Monday.com, or Notion
- Knowledge of SEO, performance marketing, and paid social content
- Experience using AI image generation tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E)
- Understanding of video content, reels strategy, and short-form storytelling
- Prior experience hiring and building creative teams from scratch
