We are hiring a Content Checker / QC Executive for Revstories’ US Feature Desk. The role involves reviewing articles, spotting errors, checking them against editorial guidelines, and flagging issues before or after publishing. Ideal for someone with 2–4 years of digital newsroom, copy editing, proofreading, publishing desk, or content QC experience, strong English, sharp attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced digital publishing setup.

Revstories, the content division of Rytstory, is hiring a Content Checker / QC Executive for its US Feature Desk.
This role is for someone who can review ready-to-publish or published articles, catch mistakes, and flag issues clearly against our editorial checklist. The content is created for international audiences, especially readers in the USA / Canada / UK / AUS, so the person should understand digital content quality, clean writing, strong structure, and reader-friendly packaging.
This is not a generic proofreading role. We are looking for someone who understands digital publishing, newsroom speed, headlines, intros, formatting, links, sources, and basic SEO hygiene.
What you'll do:
- Check articles for grammar, spelling, formatting, factual, structural, and readability issues.
- Review headlines, intros, image captions, links, references, and source usage.
- Flag weak story flow, repetition, missing context, or guideline violations.
- Ensure articles follow the given editorial and publishing checklist.
- Maintain a simple tracker of reviewed articles, errors found, and corrections needed.
- Work with writers/editors to reduce repeat mistakes and improve quality.
What you must bring:
- 2–4 years of experience in digital content, newsroom editing, proofreading, publishing, or QC.
- Strong command of written English.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to review multiple articles daily with speed and consistency.
- Understanding of digital publishing workflows and CMS environments.
- Basic understanding of headlines, story structure, SEO, and audience-friendly content.
- High ownership and willingness to work in a fast-moving startup environment.
Highly preferred:
- Experience in digital newsrooms such as HT, The Hindu, Indian Express, News18, NDTV, TOI, or similar organisations.
- Experience in copy editing, desk editing, publishing desk, or content quality control.
- Familiarity with feature stories, explainers, lifestyle, science, entertainment, health, wellness, or human-interest content.
- Comfort with AI-enabled editorial workflows.
This role is not suited for candidates primarily from:
- brand content
- marketing content
- PR content
- social media copywriting
- agency copywriting
- generic SEO blog writing without newsroom/editorial exposure
