Overview
Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCOE) is seeking to hire a Senior Content Management Specialist for the GCOE Business Enablement vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing web publishing strategies and managing the administration of external and internal digital channels using our content management systems (CMS) and SharePoint.
You will oversee content updates, ensuring the smooth and efficient transition and delivery of various shared services functions to internal stakeholders while driving content accuracy and consistency.
Additionally, you will foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the shared services team.
This role involves close interaction with teams located in Rolling Meadows, Chicago, and other global locations. The ideal candidate will also have exposure to advanced HTML/CSS and expertise in SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
Responsibilities
How you'll make an impact
- Lead and implement web publishing strategies and manage the administration of external and internal digital channels using the company’s Content Management System (CMS).
- Provide guidance on content strategy and user experience within product teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Manage and publish content across multiple corporate websites ensuring consistent, relevant, and timely execution.
- Own content authoring templates to ensure content web display, reuse, performance, and measurement best practices are in place.
- Partner with marketing content owners to prepare content plans and update content on websites.
- Understands and addresses customer needs. Strives to improve the user experience for content administrators and users.
- Design mockups for proposed changes or new functionality to improve website features and usability.
- Collaborate with the technical delivery team to manage new features and updates to the CMS.
- Manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Prioritizes work to meet deadlines and ensures timely execution.
- Lead content migration projects, including site planning, creation, and ongoing updates or enhancements.
- Utilize Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, and Power BI to develop workflows, custom forms, and dashboards that enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and address their needs effectively.
- Act as the primary contact for content initiatives, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Foster collaboration across global teams to ensure alignment on goals.
Qualifications
About you
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Certificate(s)/Special Training: Basic HTML/CSS Or CMS knowledge
- 7+ years of digital content management or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
SharePoint Content Management (Internal Platform)
- Manage the creation, design, and maintenance of SharePoint sites, pages, document libraries, lists, and team spaces.
- Ensure content governance policies, taxonomies, and metadata tagging are applied consistently.
- Oversee content lifecycle (draft, approval, publishing, archiving) and version control across departments.
- Train and support internal teams on SharePoint best practices and standards for content contribution.
- Manage user permissions and security to ensure appropriate access and confidentiality.
- Experience with Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, and Power BI for creating workflows, custom forms, and dashboards.
Sitecore Content Management (External Platform)
- Manage and publish web content on the company’s public-facing websites using Sitecore CMS.
- Work closely with marketing, communications, and design teams to ensure branding, tone, and messaging consistency.
- Monitor web content performance using analytics tools and recommend improvements for engagement and reach.
- Support localization and multilingual content publishing strategies as needed.
