Job details:
ReflectWise Labs is an early-stage startup building MindAbs — a cognitive development platform for children aged 6 to 16. We are bootstrapped and pre-launch. Based between Gurgaon and Bangalore.
MindAbs trains how children think, not what they learn. The product is built on Narrative Cognitive Intelligence (NCI) — a seven-pillar framework grounded in established peer-reviewed research. There are no points, streaks, leaderboards, or scores shown to the child. Engagement is identity-based, not extrinsic.
Our mission: build the mind that builds everything else.
The role:
We are looking for someone to take full ownership of MindAbs's voice across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube — three platforms that will carry our story to parents in the run-up to launch and beyond.
This is a writer's role first. Visual sensibility and video instincts matter, but the voice underneath everything will be yours.
This is not a role for a generalist content writer. We are building MindAbs on serious cognitive science, and the voice we use to talk to parents has to be grounded in that science — without sounding academic. We are looking for someone with formal training in cognitive science (or a closely related field) and a real writing flair.
What you'll do
- Write for LinkedIn — long-form posts, founder voice support, thought leadership in the parenting and child-development space.
- Write for Instagram — carousels, captions, reels copy. Parent-facing register, warm narrative, never preachy.
- Write for YouTube — script outlines, episode descriptions, video copy. We are still defining our YouTube format; you will help shape it.
- Hold a publishing cadence across all three platforms. Consistency matters more than volume.
- Build a small content engine — a working backlog, a research drawer, a pipeline of ideas you are actively developing.
- Work directly with the founding team. Push back when the brief is unclear; ask hard questions.
Who you are
- A degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or further) in cognitive science, psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, or a closely related field.
- A meaningful writing portfolio — even if not formally published — that demonstrates you can write well. A Substack, a strong dissertation chapter, essays, long-form personal writing, journalism — anything that shows you can hold a reader's attention while saying something substantive.
- Comfortable writing in warm narrative voice rather than punchy ad-copy voice.
- Visual sensibility and a sense for what reads well on each platform.
- Willing to learn video, even if you have not done it formally before.
- Hungry to push back when a brief is unclear and to ask hard questions.
- Familiarity with Indian parenting culture and idiom is a strong plus, particularly if you are based outside India.
What we're not looking for
A standard performance-marketing copywriter who instinctively reaches for streaks, leaderboards, urgency framing, or CAC-optimised hooks. Our brand runs the opposite direction on every one of these — by design, not by accident. If "engagement hacks" is in your vocabulary, this is not the role for you.
Engagement:
- Six-month engagement, with a scope review at the end of month three.
- Direct working relationship with the founding team.
- Fully remote. Open to candidates globally. Time zones up to +/- 5 hours from IST preferred for working-hours overlap.
- Conversation about formalising into a full-time role at the end of month six, on mutually agreed terms.
- Compensation is calibrated to Indian market rates and discussed in person.
