Job Description
A Content & Communications Executive manages a brand’s public image by executing strategic PR campaigns, writing media-friendly content (like press releases and pitches), and securing positive press coverage. They act as the bridge between the client and journalists.
Core Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Draft and edit compelling press releases, media pitches, articles, newsletters, and social media copy tailored to the Indian media landscape.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain active relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers across print, digital, and broadcast media to secure coverage.
- Campaign Execution: Support the roll-out of targeted PR strategies to build brand visibility and manage client reputations.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track media coverage daily, create coverage dossiers, and prepare reports showing PR ROI and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Event & Crisis Management: Assist in coordinating press conferences, product launches, and media interactions, while monitoring for potential reputation risks.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or English.
- Experience: Typically 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience or internships in a PR agency or corporate communications team.
- Language Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in Hindi or regional languages is highly valued for localized PR.
- Media Savviness: Strong understanding of the evolving Indian media landscape (both traditional newspapers and digital news portals) and digital PR tactics
