Job Description
As an SAP BASIS Consultant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our SAP system landscapes. Your responsibilities will include system administration, installations, upgrades, and providing day-to-day support to ensure the smooth operation of our SAP environments. You will work closely with our SAP Modernization - Delivery team to implement best practices and ensure high availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support SAP system landscapes, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform system administration tasks, including user management, authorization, and security configurations.
- Conduct SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for SAP environments.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues or bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth integration and deployment of SAP solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
- Document and maintain system configurations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration and support.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP system landscapes, including SAP NetWeaver and HANA.
- Experience with SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with SAP Basis tools and technologies, such as SAP Solution Manager.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
