Role Description The Consultant Radiologist role at Orbit Diagnostic Centre is a full-time, on-site position based in Proddatur. The Consultant Radiologist will interpret diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, ultrasound, CT, and MRI (as applicable to the centre’s services), and provide clear, timely reports to referring clinicians. Responsibilities include reviewing imaging requests, ensuring appropriate protocols, supervising and guiding technologists, and maintaining high standards of image quality and patient safety. The role involves participating in multidisciplinary discussions when needed, advising on further imaging or follow-up, and contributing to quality assurance and audit activities. The Consultant Radiologist is expected to stay current with radiology best practices and support the centre’s commitment to accurate, patient-focused diagnostics.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution and postgraduate qualification in Radiology (MD/DNB/DMRD or equivalent).
- Valid registration with any state medical council.
- Strong competency in diagnostic imaging interpretation, especially cross sectional modalities (strong competency in MRI).
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and clinically relevant radiology reports within agreed timelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clinicians, technologists, and administrative staff.
- Attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Willingness to participate in quality improvement, audits, and continuous professional development.
- Prior experience as a Consultant Radiologist or in a similar diagnostic centre setting is preferred but not mandatory.
