Hiring: Consultant Physiotherapist
Location: Cooper UHC, Lokhandwala
Days & Timings: Tuesdays & Fridays (2 hours, afternoon – OPD)
Home visits based on candidate availability
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy professional specializing in patient-centered care. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering individualized rehabilitation programs to improve functional independence, manage symptoms, and enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment
- Assess mobility, pain, fatigue, breathlessness, and fall risk
- Evaluate strength, posture, balance, and joint mobility
- Identify limitations in daily activities (ADLs)
- Coordinate with doctors and nurses on care plans
2. Pain & Symptom Management
- Provide non-pharmacological pain relief (exercise, posture correction, heat/cold therapy)
- Manage stiffness, spasms, weakness, and fatigue
3. Positioning & Pressure Sore Prevention
- Educate on proper positioning and repositioning
- Prevent bedsores and contractures
- Recommend supportive devices
4. Respiratory Care
- Teach breathing exercises
- Assist with chest physiotherapy
- Guide caregivers on positioning for better breathing
5. Lymphedema / Edema Management
- Use gentle exercises and positioning techniques
- Apply basic manual methods where appropriate
- Educate caregivers on limb care
6. Exercise Therapy
- Create personalized exercise plans
- Promote safe activity for strength and flexibility
- Modify programs based on patient condition
7. Caregiver Support
- Train caregivers in patient handling and mobility
- Guide home exercise routines
- Provide emotional support and reassurance
8. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work with doctors, nurses, and support staff
- Participate in case discussions and care planning
9. Documentation & Follow-ups
- Maintain OPD records and progress notes
- Conduct sessions, follow-ups, and assist in patient care
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master of Physiotherapy
- 2–5 years of experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of patience, empathy, and compassion
