Role Description The Consultant Physiotherapist is a full-time, on-site role based at ActivePro | Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre in Kundapura. The role involves assessing clients’ physical conditions, taking detailed histories, and performing clinical examinations to develop individualized treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering physiotherapy interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation programs for musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-operative conditions. The Consultant Physiotherapist will track progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, educate clients and caregivers on home exercises and preventive strategies, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. The role also includes collaborating with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals, participating in case discussions, and contributing to quality improvement and patient education initiatives at the centre.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning across musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, and use of rehabilitation equipment and modalities.
- Ability to provide patient education, develop home exercise programs, and support long-term rehabilitation and preventive care.
- Competence in maintaining clear, accurate clinical records and using basic digital tools or clinic management software.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT) from a recognized institution; valid professional registration or license as applicable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to gender-neutral, non-discriminatory, and respectful patient care.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy clinical setting; prior clinical experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with current physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices.
