Role Description The Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic disorders. This full-time, on-site role in Faridabad includes conducting clinical evaluations, performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role involves coordinating care with physicians from cardiology, emergency medicine, anesthesia, surgery, and other specialties to ensure safe and accurate management of complex cases. The Consultant will participate in daily ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings, as well as supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and clinical staff. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to patient and community education.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical expertise in Medicine with specialized training and experience in Gastroenterology; ability to manage acute and chronic GI, hepatology, and pancreatic conditions.
- Experience collaborating and Working with Physicians in related specialties, including Cardiology and Emergency Medicine, for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Proficiency in handling medical emergencies and coordinating with Emergency Medicine teams for stabilization and ongoing management of critical GI cases.
- Experience in Training, mentoring, or supervising residents, junior doctors, and clinical staff; commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Medicine and Gastroenterology (e.g., MD/DNB in Medicine with DM/DNB in Gastroenterology or equivalent), with valid registration from the relevant medical council.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered, ethical, and non-discriminatory approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume hospital environment, manage time efficiently, and adhere to clinical protocols and quality standards.
- Experience in a multispeciality or tertiary-care hospital setting and familiarity with endoscopy suite operations are highly desirable.
