Role Description
The D365 F&O Finance Consultant will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Finance modules in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and successful end‑to‑end delivery across implementations, upgrades, and support engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Leadership
- Lead requirement gathering, fit‑gap analysis, and solution design for D365 F&O Finance modules.
- Own end‑to‑end implementation of:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets
- Cash & Bank Management
- Budgeting and Cost Accounting
- Configure financial dimensions, chart of accounts, fiscal calendars, and posting profiles.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST, VAT, multi‑country accounting).
- Design and validate financial reports, management reports, and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
- Support audit requirements and internal financial controls.
Implementation & Delivery
- Lead UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration, opening balances, and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, extensions, and data interfaces.
- Provide go‑live and post‑go‑live (hypercare) support.
- Strong accounting knowledge:
- GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Financial dimensions
- Multi‑entity, multi‑currency setups
- Intercompany accounting
Experience in at least 2–3 end‑to‑end D365 F&O implementations.
