Role Description The Consultant Critical Care will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the intensive care and high-dependency units at Batra Heart & Multispeciality Hospital. Responsibilities include assessing and managing acute and complex medical conditions, leading resuscitation and emergency interventions, coordinating multidisciplinary care plans, and monitoring patient progress. The role involves supervising junior doctors and nursing staff, participating in clinical rounds, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives in the critical care department. The consultant will also counsel patients’ families, support discharge planning, and collaborate with other specialties to ensure continuity of care, including guidance on home and elder care where appropriate. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Faridabad.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine, with the ability to manage complex medical conditions in a hospital setting.
- Specialized expertise in Critical Care Medicine, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency interventions.
- Experience in coordinating Home Care and Elder Care plans, ensuring continuity of care beyond the hospital where needed.
- Ability to provide Training and clinical supervision to junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with relevant postgraduate qualification in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or related specialty.
- Valid medical registration and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards.
