Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant for Contracts and Claims to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice on contract management, claims, and dispute resolution for construction and infrastructure projects. The consultant will specialise in areas including Quantum Analysis, Disputes/EOT Claims, Variations Claims, Prolongation Claims, and the Arbitration Process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project schedules (baseline, updates, as-built) using Primavera P6.
- Conduct detailed forensic quantum analysis using recognised methodologies.
- Identify, evaluate, and substantiate disruptions and variations impacting the critical path and project completion.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive Extension of Time (EOT), disruption, and prolongation claims in line with contractual requirements and industry standards.
- Review contracts to identify obligations, entitlements, and potential risks, advising on contract management and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project, commercial, and legal teams to support dispute resolution, including arbitration and negotiation.
- Produce clear, evidence-based reports, charts, and visual aids for client presentations and hearings.
- Consultant role: Lead assignments, provide expert advisory, mentor junior staff, and represent clients in high-level negotiations.
- Associate role: Support senior consultants in data collection, documentation, and preliminary analysis tasks.
Required Skills:
- 3-6 years of experience in contracts and claims management in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Proven expertise in quantum analysis, disruption analysis, and dispute resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
