About the Role
Finovista is seeking a Consultant to lead the Clean Cooking Implementation initiatives to drive large-scale deployment of electric and solar-based cooking solutions across India.
This role sits at the intersection of livelihoods, energy transition, and public systems, leading multi-state programmes that enable adoption of clean cooking technologies across households, institutions (schools, anganwadis), and micro-enterprises such as street food vendors.
The role will focus on translating evidence and pilots into scalable, on-ground implementation models working closely with government systems, livelihood missions, financial institutions, and private sector partners.
This is not a typical programme management role. You will be working key clean cooking transition initiatives, directly impacting livelihoods, women’s wellbeing, and climate outcomes while building models that can scale nationally and globally.
What You Will Lead
1. Programme Delivery & Scale
- Lead end-to-end implementation of clean cooking programmes across states—from planning to execution, monitoring, and reporting
- Develop detailed implementation plans, timelines, and deployment strategies
- Manage state-level teams, partners, and ground agencies to ensure delivery at scale
- Track programme performance through structured MIS systems and digital tools
- Ensure timely delivery of milestones, reports, and high-quality outputs
2. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Building
- Build and manage partnerships with State Livelihood Missions, government agencies, DISCOMs, financial institutions, NGOs, and development partners
- Define collaboration frameworks and ensure effective coordination across stakeholders
- Support development of strong last-mile delivery channels and implementation partnerships
3. Adoption, Capacity Building & Behaviour Change
- Design and oversee awareness campaigns, technology demonstrations, and training programmes
- Lead development of IEC and training materials in collaboration with research and communications teams
- Ensure effective capacity building of field teams, partners, and end-users
4. Technology & Business Model Integration
- Support definition of technical specifications for eCooking technologies based on user needs
- Work with supply chain partners and manufacturers to align products with field requirements
- Develop and operationalise sustainable business models (credit linkages, Pay-Go, government schemes, partnerships with NBFCs/MFIs)
5. Monitoring, Learning & Impact
- Oversee implementation of monitoring systems and impact measurement frameworks
- Coordinate with external research agencies for baseline/endline assessments
- Generate insights to inform scale-up, policy engagement, and programme improvement
Who We Are Looking For
Must Have
- 10+ years of experience in clean energy, clean cooking, or development sector programmes
- 3+ years in leadership roles managing teams and multi-stakeholder projects
- Demonstrated experience leading technology deployment / implementation programmes at scale
- Strong stakeholder management across government, development partners, and private sector
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Strong analytical skills (Excel required; familiarity with data tools preferred)
- Postgraduate degree in relevant fields (Energy, Public Policy, Development, Environment, etc.)
Preferred
- Experience working with State/Rural Livelihood Missions or large-scale government programmes
- Experience with financial inclusion / credit ecosystems (MFIs, NBFCs, schemes like SVANidhi)
- Exposure to clean cooking or productive-use energy programmes
- Experience in multi-state programme delivery
