Job Description – Consultant Cardiologist
Location: Bharath Nagar Road Jeewan Nagar, Gate Number 1, Maharani Bagh, New Delhi, Delhi 110014
Hospital: 100-Bedded NABH Accredited Mult speciality Hospital
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Consultant Cardiologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases while providing high-quality outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and preventive cardiac care. The role involves collaboration with other specialties to ensure the best clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and cardiomyopathies.
- Conduct OPD consultations and manage IPD admissions.
- Perform and interpret cardiac investigations, including:
- ECG
- 2D Echocardiography
- TMT (Stress Test)
- Holter Monitoring
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
- Manage cardiac emergencies and ICU/CCU patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide long-term follow-up.
- Counsel patients regarding lifestyle modifications, preventive cardiology, diet, exercise, and risk factor management.
- Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, emergency medicine specialists, and cardiac surgeons.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with NABH standards.
- Participate in CMEs, clinical audits, and departmental quality improvement initiatives.
- Be available for emergency on-call duties as per hospital policy.
Eligibility
- Qualification: DM/DNB Cardiology
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
- Fellowship or certification in Interventional Cardiology will be an added advantage.
- Experience: 2–10 years preferred (Fresh DM/DNB candidates with excellent clinical skills may also apply).
