Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation, is seeking a dedicated Automation Tester - DCX to join our organization. You will collaborate with other product and software development team to deploy new offers/ products and features on a configuration and quotation application used by medium voltage customers like panel builder, design firms and contractors. As an Automation tester, you can put your passion for testing to work and help optimize our users’ experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deploy and industrialize the Playwright test automation tool
- Define the automation strategy, framework, and roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Product, DevOps) to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor and guide junior automation engineers as the team scales
- Contribute to the definition and improvement of automated testing best practices
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Drive quality initiatives and ensure best practices in test automation and software testing
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues
- Continuously improve test processes and tools to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Maintain the shared test environment, common libraries, and technical documentation
- Document automation frameworks, test cases, and execution results
- Provide regular reports on test coverage, defect metrics, and automation progress to stakeholders
- Maintain traceability between test cases and business requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for automation-related topics across teams
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies
Location: Bengaluru - BGRT
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as a test automation engineer for complex web-based applications
- Proficiency in Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript is a MUST
- Strong knowledge of QA concepts (functional testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Proficiency with GitHub and Jenkins
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Xray, Etc.
- Familiarity with medium voltage switchgear components, circuit breakers, and relays is advantageous
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into the development process
