Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development of high-quality examination content. The ideal candidate will bring deep subject expertise, significant industry experience, and academic teaching experience. The role involves creating accurate, structured, and syllabus-aligned objective-type questions and answers that meet rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality objective-type questions and answers aligned with the prescribed syllabus and examination requirements.
- Develop content suitable for both Visually Handicapped (VH) and Non-Visually Handicapped (Non-VH) candidates.
- Contribute to the development of aptitude-based assessment items, in areas such as English or Hindi Language, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, or Basic Mathematics.
- Create, evaluate, review, and vet assessment items in collaboration with SMEs and relevant stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy, conceptual clarity, fairness, and alignment with examination standards.
- Follow defined content development guidelines, formats, and exam standards.
- Review, revise, and refine questions based on expert feedback and quality checks.
- Maintain high standards of academic rigor, clarity, and relevance in all content developed.
Desired Skillset
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant subject areas/domain.
- At least 2 years of academic teaching experience, preferably as Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or equivalent.
- Strong subject matter expertise with the ability to develop conceptually sound and exam-ready content.
- Experience in creating objective-type questions for competitive examinations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with accessibility requirements for examination content, including VH/Non-VH formats, is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- A master’s degree is required.
Preference
- Prior experience in examination content development, assessment design, or competitive exam preparation will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in multiple languages (listed below) and the ability to review or support multilingual examination content will be preferred.

- The base salary range advertised represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
